Job Summary

Manager, Outside Sales:

The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for promoting the company’s products and services while building relationships with new and existing accounts.  This position requires individual to be creative in generating leads and closing sales – resulting in new profitable business.  Provides market data to upper management when requested and works with the VP/GM to develop yearly booking and revenue budgets.  We are looking to expand our market presence in Orange County, CA.  The Outside Sales Manager will be working from our Irvine, CA office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively grow and develop new strategic customer accounts in order to achieve profitable sales growth
    Develop and maintain thorough understanding of Inland Sign Inc. product and pricing structure in order to create estimates, artwork, and drive sales
  • Manage assigned company generated sales leads to closure by answering product, price, and schedule questions from client
  • Technical ability to interoperate blueprints and responsible for collecting all necessary documentation from clients for job folder and permit processing
  • Responsible for sending customer completion photos, collecting accounts receivables as necessary, working with accounting department, and collecting all balances due based on approved credit terms
  • Ability to evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business needs
  • Understand and take action on new market conditions, product innovations, and competitors: products, prices, and sales
  • Ability to achieve sales goals and drive results
  • Maintains good communication with inside sales and program management team
  • Communicates and supports Company policies, goals and initiatives to department
  • Actively participates in Lean and 5S initiatives
  • Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
  • Understands and lives by Inland Signs ethics and business conduct policies
  • Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college in a related field or equivalent five to seven years of related work experience
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience – Sign Industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
  • Must have the ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write and deliver effective group presentations
    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Power Point)
  • Excellent customer services skills and able to build effective cross-functional partnerships
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to implement creative ideas for continuous improvement
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time domestically

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sign industry sales management and experience is highly preferred
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles preferred
