Job Summary

Customer Service Representative


The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing tasks and activities for our company in order to service the new and existing customer accounts.  Our CSR will be responsible for performing administrative duties such as invoice tracking, customer billing, customer service, taking new customer calls/orders, filing and customer email correspondence.  The CSR will also be responsible in conveying accurate delivery schedules to our customers per the production control schedule.  The CSR will coordinate permit applications for key accounts and escalate any issues impacting delivery.  The CSR will also be responsible for other project coordination tasks & activities as assigned by management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to team efforts by directing new incoming business to the sales team while minimizing lost sales by assisting ideas in order to increase overall customer satisfaction
  • Collect, analyze, and solve customer inquiries and feedback pertaining estimate prices, service/delivery questions, and other customer escalations
  • Accurately enter new customer quotes and orders into Oracle while collecting all necessary documentation from clients for permit processing
  • Review new and existing customers accounts and update information in the Oracle CRM while encouraging customers to leave reviews on marketing platforms
  • Follow up with clients on job status, production timelines, and installation dates
  • Develop job completion package, including but not limited to:  completion photos, accounts receivable collection against approved credit terms, and provide customer with city issued permits for signage.
  • Work with city planners and engineers on issuing and collecting permits for customer signage and custom fabrication projects
  • Actively grow and develop new strategic customer accounts in order to achieve profitable sales growth
    Develop and maintain thorough understanding of Inland Sign Inc. product and pricing structure in order to create estimates, artwork, and drive sales
  • Manage assigned company generated sales leads to closure by answering product, price, and schedule questions from client
  • Technical ability to interoperate blueprints and responsible for collecting all necessary documentation from clients for job folder and permit processing
  • Ability to achieve sales goals and drive results
  • Maintains good communication with production control and outside sales team
  • Communicates and supports Company policies, goals and initiatives to department
  • Actively participates in Lean and 5S initiatives
  • Maintains the highest ethical standards
  • Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum of two years of customer service – Sign Industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
  • Must have the ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write and deliver effective group presentations
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Power Point)
  • Excellent customer services skills and able to build effective cross-functional partnerships
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to implement creative ideas for continuous improvement
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the time locally for city permit applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sign industry experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to interpret sign drawings / prints is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus
